Name: Ventus
Age: 16 (physical), 48 (actual. about 18 of them were spent asleep in Castle Oblivion.)
Notes: Can wield the χ-blade, or dual-wield Lost Memory and Void Gear. Exactly half light and half darkness. Bound to Vanitas--they share a single heart split between two bodies. The greater the physical distance between them, the more pain both of them feel.
Can summon/control Unversed, sense the emotions of those around him, and communicate telepathically with his Vanitas. Can also wield darkness, but will only do so if absolutely necessary.
Technically immortal. Doesn't age. If one is killed, the other dies as well. The same goes for falling asleep/being knocked unconscious. Wears a stud earring in his left ear that prevents all status effects for this reason.
Backstory: For the private rp Heart of the World, between

Continued from here.
Vanitas occasionally took control of his body, but the only person he would speak to was Aqua. She realized that despite everything, she missed him, and the way things were was simply unfair to all of them. At her behest, Ansem the Wise, his memories restored thanks to Namine, began to study the χ-blade. He devised a way for Sora to use it to separate only Ven and Vanitas's bodies, leaving their heart intact.
As they took the time to adjust and figure out the limitations of their new existence, Xehanort wiled his way out of Hades' grasp and returned. When he discovered their connection, it became clear he'd stop at nothing to find out more about it. He tried to separate them several times, finally succeeding and challenging Ven to a test of strength. Crippled with pain from the separation, Vanitas could barely move, so Sora changed his own appearance to fool Xehanort into thinking the two were still strong. He managed to bring Ven home, but they were both shaken.
Their relationship became a game of cat and mouse, neither side gaining the upper hand for long. Xehanort was fascinated by the strength of a heart that could exist within two bodies without splitting in half--the unity of two people so close that nothing could tear them apart. Ven just longed to be normal again, but knowing it was impossible, he struggled to come to terms with the fact that he'd be hunted for the rest of his life.
Forever, perhaps. Because it becomes painfully clear that just like Vanitas, he's stopped aging. Fourteen years later, he's become quieter and calmer--unable to sort out which emotions are his from the mess he feels daily, he stops trying. He throws himself into "normal" life as much as he can, looking after children in the city orphanage and trying to forget that his friends are growing older around him. Meanwhile Vanitas is slowly starving himself, knowing that his need to consume darkness to survive will cause even more trouble for Ven.
The two of them are still close, but almost by necessity now--they refuse to address the rift between them and continue on in an almost self-destructive manner. Perhaps that old bond isn't as strong as it used to be anymore...
